The Plane Page should now, for the most part, be working again. There will be some problems for the next few days at least since the site also changed from Perl based scripts to PHP. I am also in the process of redesigning the aircraft database to make room for more details and also to let you, the visitors, add/suggest your own photos and factsheets.

Important
The Plane Page is changing web host provider and there will be some downtime the next few days.
The last week or so, the cgi scripts that run this site have been down quite frequently and that is part of the reason for the change. The change should make the site more stable again and it also appears that the new server is noticeably faster than the old one.

Hi!
The first update of 2002 has taken place. TPP Forum has been taken down to make room for TPP Shop. The shop has books, flight sims, videos, posters and cameras from 4 different online shops. It does not contain a whole lot of products in each category, but that will change during the next few weeks. If there are any special products that you would like to see, please let me know.

Hi! Uploaded 600 new photos today. This is my christmas gift to you :) They were of the AH-1, An-70, AV-8, C-5, C-17, C-141, C-130, F-14, F-16 and the A-4.

TPP Factsheets seems to have been down for a short period, but is now working properly again.

I have changed the drop-down menus to a different script that should work better. Hopefully everybody now gets a list of all the available aircraft as you move the mouse pointer over either "Factsheets" or "Photo Gallery". It also works for "Links", "Penpals" and "Misc".
These new menus should make navigation of TPP much easier. Please let me know if there are any problems.

Hi! Just uploaded 242 new photos, 196 of those are of the AH-64 Apache while the rest are of A-10 and KC-135. I plan to upload a few hundred again tomorrow. I have not written any description, because that takes too much time. Also, there will be some duplicates, especially among the Apache photos. I would appreciate it if you let me know about these so that I can remove them.

Hi everyone! I am still alive although it has been a long time since my last update. I do hope to gradually start updating it more frequently again, but I don't promise anything :) Since the last update, though, I have found a number of new photos of Usenet, about 2,000 probably. In addition to that, I have the last ones from Sola AFB. Anyway, just wanted to let you know of this.

Just wanted to update you on the latest happenings. I haven't had time to do much with TPP lately, as I am leaving RNoAF and moving to Fort Myers, Florida to attend Florida Gulf Coast University. If any of you are from Southwest Florida, it would be nice to hear from you!
But, folks, even though I haven't had time to update the web site I have been able to get some new photos. I have gotten a new camera which is far better than the old one. With the new camera I got some nice photos of three Finnish F/A-18s on their way to RIAT. We also had a second visit from a KC-135 in addition to some Hercs and others.

Added 111 photos of various aircrafts, including those taken of the three German helicopter crews that visited Sola AFB on July 4th (search for Short name: Bo 105). Feel free to email me! Also changed the Photo Gallery so that only 10 photos are shown at the same time. This should help if there are many photos that match your search. Also, there should dnow be a list of all aircrafts in a drop down menu if you move the mouse over Photo Gallery.

Added 72 photos of the C-5 Galaxy when it visited Sola AB. I would have done this sooner, but I got some rather serious computer problems.

Just added 212 photos (with descriptions!) of various aircrafts. Currently, it is not possible to search only for only the new ones, but I am hoping to solve that this weekend.

As you can see, The Plane Page has changed entirely. The only bad news is that entries to the Penpals will have to be entered again. Apart from that, it's all good news. I have not added any new photos yet, but I am hoping to do so either Sunday or Monday. I have about 1,000 photos that needs to be added, so there is plenty to do :)

The reason that I have that many is that I am in the Royal Norwegian Air Force at Sola AFB and have had the opportunity to take photos of the planes that visit. Sola AFB is a small base, and only Westland Sea Kings are stationed there, but we have had visits from: F-16s (from Norway and the Netherlands), F-5s (from Norway), Hawks (UK), Tornados (UK, Germany), P-3s (Norway and US Navy), C-5 (USAF), C-17 (USAF), C-130s (Norway and Belgium), KC-135 (USAF), Jet Falcon (Norway and UK) and some others.
